“While the Ruth House has a powerful and positive impact on these teen mothers,” explains Candace Cramer, Ascentria chief development officer, “they still face many challenges after leaving the program. In the ‘real world’ they encounter many potential barriers to their continued success, like trying to attend college while working and caring for a baby, or other difficult situations involving transportation and child care. The Fashioning the Future Fund will give the Ruth House mothers a ‘hand up’ as they transition into the community. With this fund, the young women can receive help paying for such things as post-secondary education, job training, transportation and child care.”

Candace will be joined by Committee Chair Donna Mayo of Quincy, and Angela Bovill, Ascentria president and CEO, for an afternoon of fabulous spring fashions and festivities that will include one-of-a-kind silent auction packages, a spectacular wine wall with over 150 bottles to choose from, diamonds galore from King Jewelers, pop-up stores for exclusive shopping opportunities, and more!

Participating specialty boutiques include: Pink Tulip Clothes and Accessories of Cohasset; King Jewelers of Cohasset; Outside In Outdoor Athletic Wear of Cohasset; Zodiacfly of Holbrook; Olivia Rose Children’s Boutique of Marshfield; and Bo Line Boutique of Norwell. Hair and makeup for the fashion show will be provided by
Charles David Salons & Spas, Rebel Salon of Norwell, and Verona Salon of Plymouth.

Special thank you to our major corporate supporters for the event, including Couture Sponsors - Hays; Rockland Trust Foundation; Wells Fargo; and En Vogue Sponsors - Eaton Vance; Eastern Bank; Fallon Health; Lombardo’s and Rockland Federal Credit Union.
