Ways to Get Involved

There are many unknowns about the immediate future of Ascentria’s refugee work. We have great concern for the refugees we are serving now and our employees who are supporting them. We are following the situation closely and we are standing with the refugee families seeking safety from violence, persecution and terror.

Your Local Community

If you want to make a real difference for refugees in New England, please make a donation today to our refugee program. Your gift will help us to continue to support refugees during this uncertain time.

  • Donate items or coordinate a drive to collect basic necessities to help newly arrived refugees. As each refugee family or individual arrives in America to begin their new life, many do so with literally nothing except the clothes on their back and an undeterred spirit. Please visit our in-kind donations page for a list of needed items and contact information to schedule a donation drop-off.
  • Participate in a local educational forum or community rally supporting refugee resettlement, take photos and share the experience on social media.
  • Encourage your church, school or civic group to host a talk about Ascentria’s refugee resettlement program. Call 774.243.3900 to schedule a speaker.
  • Sign petitions and contact your local and national government officials to express your support of refugee resettlement. Check out the following link: http://petitions.moveon.org/sign/do-not-stop-refugee-resettle
  • Engage in conversation with family, friends and colleagues about the benefits refugees bring to our communities and our country. Share your knowledge about refugees and resettlement.
