Ascentria provides new Americans with the resources they need to adjust to their new culture and become self-sufficient and productive citizens.
Ascentria refugee services continues the American tradition of caring for the strangers among us. We are part of a national network of voluntary organizations working in partnership with the U.S. Department of State and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) to resettle refugees. Our professional staff and volunteers provide refugees with the basic services to enable them to achieve economic self-sufficiency in their new homeland. Ascentria is affiliated with:
Ascentria recognizes that coming to a new country is a difficult transition and offers immigrants services to assist with their adjustment to US culture. In Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Ascentria provides services to immigrants that include: legal assistance, job training, employment services, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). These supports help immigrants to develop the skills they need to become productive participants in the US economy.
Ascentria strives to provide an opportunity for each refugee and immigrant to create a new life, free from persecution and violence and built on hope and fulfillment.
