July 16, 2018 Ascentria Care Alliance
West SpringfieldServices for New Americans (SNA), a member of Ascentria Care Alliance, announces their relocation to West Springfield to provide improved services and greater accessibility for refugee and immigrant families. The program will continue to offer refugee resettlement and case management services, English (ESOL) classes, employment services and immigration and legal services for new Americans.

The new SNA office, located at 425 Union Street, offers a central location for clients, many of whom live and work in the towns of West Springfield, Agawam, Feeding Hills, and Chicopee. The offices will be co-located with other health and human service agencies and is readily accessible by public transportation via the R10 bus line. Staff will be assisting families during the transition by providing transportation in an Ascentria shuttle van, helping clients learn the bus route, and providing bus passes for people attending English classes and working to obtain employment. Staff will continue to work closely with families, the public schools, the Department of Public Health, the Mayor’s office, and other partners in Westfield to coordinate services for refugee families.
Westfield is a wonderful city and we’ll continue to work closely with our partners there,” commented Lisa Brennan, director for the Services for New American’s program in Massachusetts. “However, moving back to the Union Street neighborhood where we were located for decades, feels very much like coming home.  We are grateful to the Mayor’s Office, service providers and partners who have responded so positively to the relocation.
To accommodate the move, offices will close July 18 to 20 and will re-open on Monday, July 23 at 425 Union Street, West Springfield, 8:30am - 5:00 pm. The new main telephone number will be 413.562.6015. Please contact Lisa Brennan with questions or if you need more information at 617.413.5021.
