The Good News Garage VT office celebrated National Volunteer Week by acknowledging the hard work and commitment that their volunteers bring to Good News Garage.
They are proud to introduce a few members of their volunteer team. Caroljean Poulin, Tamsen Goldfield and Jude Demers. Caroljean and Tamsen joined Good News Garage as volunteers through the United Way RSVP Program, and they have become an essential part of the office support team. When these two volunteers are in the building, they always bring love and laughter. Caroljean and Tamsen help Good News Garage meet numerous deadlines and always pride themselves in their work. This duo truly is a blessing to the team! “It’s been a better part of my life working at the Good News Garage – I just love it,” states Caroljean. “I love volunteering for the Good News Garage. They are great people and this is such a wonderful cause,” echoes Tamsen.
Jude Demers became a volunteer driver with Good News Garage in November 2014. He drives donated vehicles to the auction or body shop, and helps test drive the vehicles that will be placed with families. As soon as Jude started, staff members knew they were in for a treat. He occasionally arrives to the garage office dressed to impress – in a suit and tie! Jude is extremely active in the community and volunteers with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Vermont and with the Flynn Theatre. He loves to engage with people and is a very caring and kind-hearted individual. Volunteers are the lifeblood of our organization. Without their commitment and passion, Good News Garage would not be able to accomplish as much as it does. On behalf of the Good News Garage staff, we extend a huge thank you to our volunteers for their support of our efforts to help our clients succeed!
