Program offers refugees a weekend with Cape host families

Nauset Interfaith hosted 6 of our refugee families (14 children and 7 adults) this weekend for the Refugee Welcoming Weekend at Cape Cod. The families enjoyed a Sharks & Seals ranger talk, canoeing at Salt Pond, and ice cream. The weekend wrapped up with a a potluck supper hosted by the Community of Jesus in Orleans with about 60 people enjoying food & fellowship. Our refugees led the group in song, and David from Liberia gave a heartfelt thank-you speech. All of these families were resettled by Ascentria and have been supported by Community Circles.  Read more
