See what can happen when New Englanders join forces on the side of hope.
We envision thriving communities where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential regardless of background or disadvantage. Together with our partners, we inspire people to help one another reach beyond their current circumstances and realize new possibilities. Here’s what we accomplished in 2023.

Najma arrived from Somalia in 2016, joined our Unaccompanied Refugee Minors program and began her new life in Worcester, Mass. where one of our foster families opened their home to her. Najma speaks fondly of her foster family saying, “I will never forget how they helped me learn English and teach me about American culture. They are a big part of where I am today.”
And where is Najma today? After attending Quinsigamond Community College and UMass Boston to earn her bachelor’s degree in biology, Najma moved to St. Louis, Mo. where she is studying to become a nurse. Kind donors funded her travel in 2020 through Ascentria’s Diomande Scholarship Fund so that she could remain committed to her career pursuits.
Najma is looking forward to returning to Massachusetts where her friends live. We are so proud of you Najma!
This fall, Ascentria participated in the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic hosted at African Community Education in Worcester. This was a shining example of the power of community with over 60 volunteers from various organizations onsite serving over 325 migrants, primarily from Haiti, with legal, medical and social supports.
Your support of the Ruth House and Florence House makes it possible for young parents in our community to raise their children in a safe environment. Your generosity makes a difference in their lives!
In the land of dreams and endless possibilities, a tiny miracle has arrived! We are overjoyed to share the wonderful news of a beautiful baby boy, Ismael, born to a family who recently journeyed from Haiti to the United States.
Thanks to the support of a caring community, Ishmael was born safely and welcomed with love and joy. Though tired, his parents are thrilled, and his father says he might be the happiest person in the entire world. Let’s join together to extend our warmest congratulations and support to this family as they embark on this incredible journey of parenthood in their new homeland.
The audited financial statements of Ascentria Care Alliance represent the activity of the parent organization and its thirteen wholly owned subsidiaries.
Our staff, program participants, and community are the heart of our mission and the big picture of their lived experiences informs everything we do.
Your donation helps the individuals and families participating in our programs to become self-sufficient and confident in their ability to not only meet life’s challenges, but thrive. We can’t do it without you!
