Annick, a 19 year old URM from Democratic Republic of Congo, is completing a Gateway to College Program at Springfield Technical Community College and is on track to graduate with a High School Diploma. About the Diomande Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2017 in memory of a former Unaccompanied Refugee Minor (URM) client who was truly committed to his education, but unfortunately passed away due to illness before he was able to achieve his goals of graduating high school and pursuing further education.

In this client’s memory, annual scholarships are awarded to youth in the URM Program in support of their educational dreams and pursuits. Applicants must be a current URM client with a concrete plan to pursue further education or training after high school, either at a college or vocational training program. Applicants must also demonstrate strong academic potential, commitment to achieving their education goals, and a financial need related to the cost of attending their educational program of choice.

If you are interested in learning more about the scholarship or donating to this cause, please contact us. URM Program donations can be made here.
