Building a Future of Impact.

Building a space for collaboration, accessibility, and growth.

We are relocating our office headquarters to an established Nonprofit Center at 18 Chestnut Street, centrally located in downtown Worcester, a space to be designed for collaboration, accessibility, and human-centered service delivery.

This thoughtfully designed space will also include:

Why are We Moving?

For over 150 years, Ascentria Care Alliance has been a pillar of support for people across New England, embracing our mission to improve the well-being of individuals, families, and communities facing systemic barriers.

However, as demand for our programs has grown in the Worcester area, so too have the challenges of operating in an outdated, costly, and space-constrained facility.

Essentially, our Worcester facility at 11 Shattuck Street no longer meets the evolving needs of our clients and staff.

We face these challenges in our current space:

  1. Limited Space for Staff and Clients
  2. High Operating Costs
  3. Accessibility Concerns
  4. Lack of Collaboration Space

With this new space, we'll be able to:

  • Increase Service Delivery $

Additional classroom and event space will allow for a greater variety of classes for our clients including nutrition classes and presentations by partner organizations. This new space will serve 30-60 clients daily for case management and clinics while accommodating an average of 5-10 walk-ins and intakes each day.

  • Create Spaces for People to Thrive $9

The empty space offers a blank canvas to purposefully design a space that supports the well-being of our clients and staff, and fosters dignity, safety, and engagement.

  • Improve Financial Stability $32

Lower rental costs will mean a more cost-effective facility that allows us to allocate more resources directly to our mission, ensuring long-term sustainability.

  • Improve Security and Accessibility

Centrally located with improved security features, ensures a safe and welcoming space for all who walk through our doors.

  • Collaborate with Community

This shared space with like-minded organizations encourages strategic partnerships and streamlined services. Case managers will be able to escort clients directly to these resources, removing barriers to access and allowing them to meet with more clients each day.

Construction is currently in progress and we expect to move in in September!

We are relocating to the Nonprofit Center at 18 Chestnut Street, a centrally located building in downtown Worcester. This move is more than just a change of address—it’s a strategic step toward improving the way we serve clients and support our staff.

The Nonprofit Center houses several mission-aligned organizations (such as WIC, Worcester Community Action Council, and the Center for Living & Working). This co-location makes it easier for clients to receive multiple services in one trip. Our case managers will even be able to escort clients directly to partner services, cutting down on delays, confusion, and transportation burdens.

This move will actually improve service delivery! As we approach our move-in date, we appreciate your patience when scheduling appointments or meetings with our team.

Absolutely! We plan to offer tour opportunities for our community partners, clients, and supporters.
