Investing in Ascentria’s future, today
At Ascentria, we are called to strengthen communities by empowering people to respond to life’s challenges. We live this mission every day, but we know that we can’t do it alone. We need your help. The Ascentria Giving Society is an annual giving program that enables us to provide countless people with the resources and tools they need to move forward in their lives.

About David Forsberg: David Forsberg’s name is synonymous with “giving back.” Over the years, he has served the City of Worcester and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in a variety of capacities and has been a part of the Ascentria family, both as a long-time board member, a vice president, and as interim agency president. During his tenure at Ascentria (then known as Lutheran Social Services of New England), he was instrumental in developing the Florence House, a teen parenting program for young mothers and their children. Ascentria’s Forsberg Independent Living Program, which serves adults with developmental disabilities, bears his name. It should come as no surprise, then, that Ascentria would look to David Forsberg to be the founding chair of its new Ascentria Giving Society.

WHY I GIVE: “Over the years, I’ve been blessed with a number of opportunities to serve. None has been more rewarding than my time with Ascentria. It is not an exaggeration to say that we give ‘new life’ to the people we serve. I am honored to chair the Ascentria Giving Society and to ask for broad and generous support of our important work.”
