Celebrating Our Interpreters

December 11, 2023

Meet Paulette

Paulette has worked for Language Bank for over 15 years.  For the past several months she has worked in Massachusetts with Haitian families who recently arrived in the United States.  She has gone above and beyond making sure the families living in the shelters are able to communicate their needs. In addition, she has driven up to 4 and 5 hours daily to reach them at the shelter where they are temporarily living.

Haitian families have fled their home country because it is torn apart by political strife and street violence.  National and local infrastructure has collapsed. Paulette shared,“ I have learned, no matter how tough life is you can push on and at the end, there’s a light.

Thank you, Paulette and all our interpreters at Language Bank for your amazing work!
