Volunteer with Ascentria

Our work would not be possible without the support of volunteers and community members across New England! We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities for individual volunteers, organizations, and a new innovative volunteer model called Neighborhood Support Teams.

Frequently Asked Questions

There are a variety of service opportunities throughout New England. They include one-time opportunities, on-going projects, group projects, individual opportunities, internships, providing needed goods and services, serving on advisory boards, fund-raising, coordinating donation drives, advocacy work and more.
If you don’t happen to live near an Ascentria site, many volunteer projects may be carried out remotely or in your meeting place, business, or home.
Once you and a staff member have identified an opportunity that matches your desire to serve, you’ll be asked to schedule an interview and complete an application form. If the assignment involves working with clients, personnel files, case records, or other sensitive organizational information you will also be required to have a criminal background check. If the assignment involves driving, you will be asked to provide proof of auto insurance and consent to a motor vehicle driving record check.
